Cancer Awareness is a special cause that holds deep in my heart. In 2018, I lost my Aunt, Tita Angel, to metastatic breast cancer. Her passing left a void in my family, also leading to my mom's stroke a week after she passed. Tita Angel was the youngest among mom's siblings. She was a nurse practitoner who had the ambition to care for others when she emigrated to the U.S.
As a way to remember her memory, we made a promise to fulfill her wish in supporting the researchers, survivors, and current victims in any need until a cure is found for this disease. "Angel's Wish" is a research fundraiser for METAvivor, an organization in the US that funds metastatic breast cancer research. For more details, click the link here:
Since 2016, I've donated my hair three times to different companies who make wigs for cancer patients. It's my way for commemorating Tita Angel as well as my other loved ones / friends who lost their battle to cancer or other type of disease.

In Loving Memory....
